Getting your logo into vector format
There are lots of image formats out there. For images that you convert to badges or logos, however, you need a graphic format that resizes easily and accurately, and so we request artwork in a vector format, specifically one of the following: AI, EPS or CDR. If your image is already in one of these formats, great! You should be able to upload it to the site from your hard drive without any difficulty. If not, you have two options.
Upload whatever you have
Firstly, you could upload whatever you have, and hope for the best. We will probably have to get it redrawn, in which case we will need to contact you and charge you a further £30 for your order. This will slow things down, and adds 4 working days (at least) to the process of getting your kit to you.
Get your design converted to vector format
Secondly, you can get it converted to vector format yourself via a service such as:
- vectorgraphic: agency, £7 for basic logo redraw, up to £30 for more complex (club logos, for example)
- PromoArtwork: agency, £12 for basic logo redraw, more complex logos POA, 24hr turnaround
- DotDesign: graphic designer, £70 flat fee, 4 working day turnaround, personal service
- Vector-Redraw: graphic designer, email for a quote.
- Your lour local print shop or signage shop. Costs are typically between £30 and £70.
We can’t make specific endorsements of these services, we haven’t used them ourselves. Any of these will be able to produce a version of your design in EPS format. Once it has been produced, you will be able to use it anywhere – on signage, vehicle decals, letterheads … and on kit!
